What is the system default email account inside cPanel?
The default email account
The cPanel default email address will be created when the system creates your cPanel account, and you cannot change it. cPanel will always create the account in the following format:
cpanel-username-here@domain-name-here.com
This email address cannot be renamed or removed.
What is it used for?
By default, cPanel will create a “default” email account. It’s used for the following key functions:
- The system uses the system default email address as the sender of system or script-generated messages
- The system uses the default email address for the From and Reply-to addresses on the outgoing email that your account’s PHP scripts send.
