Troubleshooting encryption errors when visiting with Internet Explorer
Some older versions of Internet Explorer and Microsoft Windows don’t support modern encryption that is becoming standard across the web, and therefore might run into issues when trying to access certain website or services. This will become a more common problem over time, as the world moves towards discontinuing support for old and insecure encryption protocols, in favor for of new ones.
Older versions of Internet Explorer do not support modern encryption standards, and Microsoft has public ally stated that they are no longer releasing new versions of Internet Explorer and the latest version (Internet Explorer 11) will reach end-of-life in late 2021. Meaning that it won’t receive any support or updates beyond that point.
What can I do?
The best thing to do here would be to use a different web browser, such as Google Chrome or Firefox. Because those web browsers support more modern encryption and new versions get released over time.
It may also be a good idea to consider upgrading to a latest version of Microsoft Windows (Windows 10). As it supports the most modern and advanced encryption protocols/methods, and will continue to receive updates beyond 2021.
